Oh, well since you have special powers and can know how events will play out that haven't and will not happen, could you let me know who will win the Broncos/Seattle rematch for the 2 Superbowl 48?

The link was more of, "hey, here are other much more unbiased opinions than yours whole can take off the blinders and see that the division champ was better than the team that placed behind them"

The results on the field disagree with that "unbiased" person. Sorry.

Yep, and the end results of the season & playoffs show than when given the same amount of games, the Panthers are 1 game better.

Good thing the panthers didn't had to go to Seattle

Not to mention just 1 game out 16 is almost irrelevant. It's irrelevant enough to use the two actual head to head games to make a comparison. I'm sorry you just can't give the Saints any credit.

Well back in the season...Saints were a 3 point favorite at home and the Panthers were a 3 point favorite in Carolina. I know so much has changed since then, but it seems that oddsmakers had them about even. Yes I know you played them closer on the road than they played you at home, but they also finished the season on fire while NO had a bad 5 weeks leading into the playoffs. NO won a playoff game that Carolina had a bye in and they both lost to the two best teams in football. They seem pretty even to me but I have to give it to the team with the better body of work.

And everyone here seems to think the Seahawks game was a lot closer than it was. You didn't score for 3 quarters and then scored within 30 seconds to make it a one possession game. You then got an onside kick and would have needed a miracle play to win. Don't act like that game was back and forth the entire time. It was great of your defense to keep it within reach, but half the country had turned off that game by the fourth quarter.

Panthers lost to Seattle as well. I don't know why them losing a single score game at home isn't as bad as getting throttled in Seattle. Panthers also went to SF and won during the season while the Saints got them at home and won on a fluke penalty.

Well, one was, in their division.
But it is more about being bored, and procrastinating from this statistics due at midnight.

LSU was the best regular season team that year.
In the end though, in the game that mattered, they weren't.

I answered.
In the regular season, yes.
In the post season, no.

You are trying to compare apple to oranges.

That's terrible logic. Panthers won the rematch game that decided the division. If the two teams played in the playoffs and New Orleans won I would agree with you.

you stated winning the division made the panthers the better team. lsu beat bama in the game that mattered to win the division. by your logic lsu is the better team. the rematch proved that that wasn't true. just because you win the division doesn't mean definitively you are the better team

Then you are also ignoring the fact that I said they won the game that matters.
Alabama also won the game that matters. I have also always said Bama was the right team in the NC, even though it meant LSU lost.

Come on, man.

The Saints doubled them in yardage, and had a Corey White pick 6 go out of the end zone. That was a true fluke. How often does that shite happen? That touchdown happens the Saints likely run away with the game.

To the hit on Brees. I do not like that the NFL calls that, but that's the rule. Although I think it's a bullshite rule, it was the correct call according to the rulebooks.

The 49ers then got another chance, and blew it. The punt the ball to the Saints, and commit a timely penalty. The Saints march the field, and win the game. The Saints absolutely outplayed them, and anyone that watched the game knows this. This is a team many believe is the 2nd best in the NFL also.

Lastly, for my argument over Carolina:

Cam Newton had 116 yards passing until the final drive when the Saints best Safety was out with a broken ankle.

The Saints had a brand new LT thrown to the wolves.

Yet, when you look on paper, Carolina was outplayed substantially. Vaccarro being out decided it.

link?

the dome game opened up at 3.5-4 and went up

the Panthers home game opened up at 2-2.5

Let's also ignore how the Saints were playing on an extra short week since they played @Seattle on MNF then got delayed due to a broken plane and lost another day of practice (still beat the shite out of the panthers)
