Considering we were throwing the OSU Intramural Wiffle Ball pitching staff, probably.

FWIW, OSU had no pitching left and had no depth all year. 2 of their regulars are hurt and 2 others transferred. Several times this year they went down big in the last game of the weekend...giving up 20+ runs on a Sunday happened a few times.

The Soph they started yesterday was his first start of the year and the next guy was just as green.

Still, it was pretty damn pathetic.

Yeah but even if you trade a run for every out. They should have only scored 27.

I'm sure OSU pitching was bad, but I've seen horrible pitchers manage to keep teams to 15 or so runs. The fact that FSU had 38 hits is so incredible.

Agreed, but OSU was throwing meat and 85 mph down the middle = disaster no matter how you slice it. I don't know how you can work with bad/young pitching if you can't stop FSU's bats. All of their hits were solid and legit...it was just a long BP session for them.

On the plus side, Jake Hale (OSU's closer) made GA look bad. Too bad he couldn't pitch 12 innings.

I'm still amazed that that many balls found holes. I mean you would think some of those balls were hit hard right at people.

Does anyone know how many points FSU's team average went up for this game?

Why isn't there a mercy rule for the regionals?

I mean, if you're down by 20 going into the eight...come on...

And they showed the entire damn thing on ESPNU!

You would think. But it wasn't, not at all. I actually felt bad for tOSU. Go figure.
