It's not, we're going to sign Lee and his Texas pitching coach as well

if you're going to quote the movie, at least get it in the right order.

WERE IMPRESSED ENOUGH WITH YOUR TEAM TO GO AND RAID IT

I wouldn't call taking a guy that has been with the club less than 3 months "raiding the team."

and yeah, it's going to be tough to resign Lee with all of the others that are probably going to get extensions, etc. Just posted an informational link for those that were interested. Lighten up Francis.

I think I am the only Yankees fan that doesn't want to sign him for 20+ million a year

I don't think he'll resign, but I like this attitude when it comes to free agency in general.

Yeah, I'm certainly not holding my breath.

I'm just glad we have someone that's willing to throw some money out there to get what we need.

Reason #1 Lee Stays with Rangers
Yankees fans harass Lee's wife

However Lee said:
quote:

"I brush that off as fans being fans. You can't control 50,000 people and what they're going to do," Lee said Tuesday, the day before pitching Game 1 of the World Series for Texas. "There were some people that were spitting off the balcony on the family section and things like that, and that's kind of weak, but what can you do?"

Lee said what happened last week wouldn't have any impact on his offseason decision.

"No, I don't know the guy that did it. It could be anyone. Who knows? Who cares?," Lee said. "They're at home right now."

Darbour will have the scoop when it comes time. But, as long as Texas is at or near NYY dough, I think he stays near Lil Rock/Benton, via Dallas.

He can't afford to alienate or suggest he isn't interested in NYY, as they are his "market maker" and will drive it, and probably the only other team willing to give him the five year deal he wants, besides the Rangers.

I would think some teams would be very interested in him at 20-25M for three years, but that fourth and fifth year will probably be what shortens the field of suitors.

P.S. F@ck Rube 'The Boob' Amaro, for hocking him cheaply. As it was the difference in making the WS, despite the weak bats.
