Mir is in no-mans-land in his career. He isn't big enough nor have the hammerhands to beat Lesner nor Carwin, and far too confident and needing to engage them in close to get his needed submissions, yet isn't as thick nor bull strong like they, plus has that bad knee..can't take blows by those giants to his melon.
He may big enough to bounce bars in LV, and not get clipped, but his head isn't strong enough for the lunchpails of Lesner, Carwin, Fedor, etc..he can't keep those guys off him.

I think Mir/Fedor would be a really good fight. Mir isn't strong enough to deal with Lesnar/Carwin but Fedor wouldn't give him the same problems. Mir is talented enough on the ground to keep up with Fedor.

It's so hard to be a submission artist in the heavyweight division because there are so many guys that hit so hard.
