Just heard on ESPN radio that his mom will make the decision today whether to pull the plug or not. :(

Remember watching him back in the 80's - but reading about him, getting shot makes sense.
Dude sounds shady as hell.

Not a good year for ex-sports figures in Puerto Rico.
Who was that former MLB pitcher who recently was killed during a home invasion in Rico?

I finally got in touch with a member of the family. His mom will be making the call soon on pulling the plug. Camacho Jr is headed there today. It'll most likely be a couple of days before they decide as they want all the family there. It happened at a traffic light. Cocaine was found on the other guy who was killed at the scene so it could be drug related. The bullet hit Srs jaw and then deflected to his spine and lodged there. He also went into cardiac arrest at 4:15 this am. Sad situation. I'll never forget sparring with him.

Yeah I just read on TMZ that he was brain dead. They got pictures of Macho on a gurney. And also pics of the dead guy face down on the ground.

He couldn't understand English at all.

It was Macho
I guess I'm wrong about the English though. I took his silence/expression as he couldnt understand me when I was explaining how to bet to him. It was a brief encounter 18 years ago. Now that I think about it, I guess he didn't comprehend the game, not the language.
RIP Macho
