Yeah being a Cowboys fan in Shreveport is very deserving of having the Indy bowl sucking. Do us all a favor and kill yourself.

God what a miserable matchup for a once proud bowl.

Wake Forest fans aren't the type that will want to come to Shreveport and Wyoming doesn't have fans.

I think the I-bowl got hosed a bit by the sec & big 12. Their payout was/is actually pretty high compared to the other lower tier bowls. I believe the liberty bowl going after the sec caused them to lose their spot. Not sure about big 12

The Independence Bowl was equal to or a little higher than the Liberty Bowl. However, the SEC kept giving the Liberty Bowl the more advantageous pick. The Independence Bowl was getting the worse pick and / or no pick if there were not enough qualifying teams.

All fans would have liked to keep the SEC / Big 12 Match up, but the SEC caused that to go away.

Good Lord that is horrible. I wouldn't watch that if my own son was playing. Tha girl used to call into a sports talk show and shé would start everything with "my husband says..."
The whole committee has turned into a joke. A buddy of mine used to be on it and he said you could not imagine a bigger group of people who knew less about football.

GoDaddy.com is supposed to pick the game up as a sponsor next year. Theyre also trying to get the Big 12 and SEC tie in back. Thats what one of the guys that helps out with it told me.

He said they were trying to get the 4rth place teams in both conferences to play, but I dont see that happening.

I've heard this as well. I'd love to get the tie-in back. Wasn't the BEST teams, but the matchups were usually pretty good.

The Indy bowl used to be good. I was there for the LSU/ND, LSU/Mich St, and the Miss St game where it snowed like a mofo.

Now, it's garbage. Nobody wants to see Wyoming and WF. Just kill it. I'd rather not watch it die a slow pathetic death.

When did you come to Shreveport? It's completely different now than even 5-6 years ago.

with the tie-ins we could have a Texas A&M vs. Miss St. matchup which I'd actually enjoy watching

Same here. Lots of drunk Oregon fans with their duck callers.

Anyone remember the LSU/ND game when the fat drunk in his tighty whitieys ran across the field?

SEC big 12 was obviously a better tie in but I see the logic of the MWC side of it. I think the committee wants to get Air Force as much as possible with seeing as Barksdale is in bossier. Shoulda paid up for something better than the ACC though.

It was great when LSU came, but worked well with any SEC school. Great times watching LSU in the bowl.

I've watched LSU play three times in Shreveport...twice in the Independence Bowl against ND & MSU. The other time was in 1975 against Rice.
