I hate to ask this... but I wasn't able to watch the game and I can't find video of the questionable calls.

Would you mind providing a quick breakdown of what happened and perhaps link a tweet of the play(s) in question?

TIA

Precisely. People losing their shite over two calls while forgetting the bad ball they played yesterday is a choice. Josh had two of the worst turnovers I've seen from him in the playoffs maybe ever yesterday.

Well he only had like 3 total turnovers in the playoffs before yesterday so yeh

Only turnovers I thought were bad were the Allen fumble at half and the cook fumble

Those two were killers. The others were football plays that can happen

but you at least agree you are now assigning a time element to a DB taking control away from a receiver.

Call it arbitrary if you will. Call it silly. But there's always been a time element when it comes to making a catch. That's what it means to survive the ground. A catch isn't automatically a catch just because you can grab a screenshot of the receiver with the ball in his hands.

Let's change the scenario a bit.
If a receiver caught the ball and is trying to run with it, but a second later the db comes in and he loses the ball. Chances are, that will be ruled an incomplete pass. If the receiver catches it and has it for a good 4 seconds, maybe, then that will be a fumble.

This isn't a perfect example. But if the receiver would have had the ball maybe a second longer before losing it, it may have been called a fumble then.

My overall thesis is that if these rules stay in place, the athletes owe it to themselves to do some pretty wild shite on the field to combat the nonsensical rules.

We don’t want that.

So just fix the rule so we can move on. But, they won’t do that so to me, the NFL is asking for chaos and frick them if they let it all stand.

Exactly

That’s what we don’t like.

That guy caught that ball and even ran with it. That’s a catch.

I guess some of these things will always be too controversial for a consensus opinion. I thought that was a clear incomplete pass.

The turnovers and the bad call have nothing to do with each others. Why are you grouping them together as a way to support a “they deserve to lose” stance? Why does previous events impact criticism of a bad call of the current play?

Going forward if a team have 4 turnovers and it’s late in a tight game, do you want the ref to an attitude of “we can make a bad call on them because losing this game is on them”.

We can play the what if all day. The fact is the officials decide the game in the last 2 minutes every fricking week. The first few hours don't matter if the refs are just going to stick 6in your arse late game anyway.

how many tenths was the broncos player on the ground when the ball bobbles ?
I already addressed this. While I think it probably should have been called incomplete, they might have ruled that the large step he took OOB was enough to rule it a catch PRIOR to him actually tumbling.

Like I said, this call was WAY more controversial than the interception. The interception is actually just clear cut.

What about the DPI that wasn’t called that would basically won the game for Buf.
This is the call that Bills fans should be pissed about.

What was really weird to me was that after both of those plays involving Cooks, he didn’t even remotely attempt to plead his case. It seemed like he didn’t give a shite at all either way.
