We're pretty strong in Georgia. Pull a few here and there out of Texas as well.

Alright, I can see Florida high school coaches steering a few kids away from tOSU. But, I think Meyer will be able to raid states like Pennsylvania now that Penn State is still hazardous

IMO, they're not. he might have 1 or 2 good seasons left in him but i don't see much coming from him in the future.

And so the jilted bitterness begins from the Gator fans.

remember how LSU fans mocked the offense saying it wouldn't work in the SEC?

and then with tebow, it did, and UF fans rejoiced?

now UF fans are saying it won't work in the SEC without tebow/cam

Yeah, the cultish behavior is a bit disturbing - and I live smack dab in the middle of it (well, Tallahassee serves as a decent buffer, but starting 50 miles east..)

Have you ever been to Live Oak/Perry?

It worked with Tebow and Cam. But, i think we'll agree that those two are the kind of players that only come around every blue moon. You can't just plug anyone in and say run Meyers offense. Just look at UF last year and Auburn this year.

You could throw Miss St in this argument too.

There will be others, and they will be better than those two. That's just nature.

These two were technically on the same roster. 'Every blue moon' does that not define...

Never saw mention of him, ever on our recruiting boards.

Shazier we wanted. I'm sure we would have taken Brewster too.

OSU has 8 FL players on their rosters. That's a whopping average of 2 per year over a four year span. That's fairly typical.

It's not like they come down to FL pick who they want and then haul their pasty arses back to the frozen tundra and grey skies of winter.

i think there is a wide gap between brantley and tebow/cam with some wiggle room

UF had a slow white boy/pocket passer running option (with a shitty center no less)

AU just doesn't seem to have highly talented QBs (and they're all freshmen)

like i said there is a wide gap, but you have to at least recruit a guy who fits the mold with some talent

You forgot about how Meyer tried to plug Jordan Reed in as Tebow and Auburn just seems to be all over the place.

It's not exactly like OSU needs tons of Florida guys to compete for National Championships. Get a class 2 or 3 studs from the south (FL/GA), 1 or 2 from TX, 1 or 2 from Cali, do pretty well in PA (easy now) and lock down Ohio. Boom.

And then lose to an SEC team in the title game. Journey complete.

basically, they've been doing the same exact thing over and over again. Someone needs to inject some new blood into that program

Never said they needed to hit FL hard. They never do and never will take a ton of players from FL.

Most recruits don't want to play that far from home.

I was just saying we aren't worried about Meyer and him taking a ton of recruits from us.

A) OSU never does take a ton
B) Meyer is going to find some resistance from FL HS coaches now.

Tressel routinely pulled 2-4 out of Florida. I expect that number to go up with Meyer. Nothing crazy but 3-5 a year wouldn't surprise which is strong considering the distance.

Who's Mark Pantoni? Some of your players and recruits are tweeting that he's leaving Florida for Ohio State.

He is director of Football operations.

Urban is not going to get more recruits from FL than normal.

Would OH HS coaches like a coach that left OH for FL under the same circumstances.

People are acting like Urban is revered in FL when he's considered something less than revered for the most part. Not hated, but not trusted.

Your butthurt involvement in any Urban Meyer thread brings a big smile to my face, FWIW.

I really think you are putting too much into this "factor."
