When I said liberal media I was being sarcastic because people that don't like blacks, gays, hispanics, minorities, arabs, muslims, or Democrats always say LIBERAAAAL media when they refer to the media.

Vick is better than any of these teams #2 or #3, point in case, better than anything the Redskins have, he would automatically make them a playoff contender.

You must not know much about football.

first of all the east has so many better QB's the Redskins would still be in last in that division. Vick hasn't played football in over 2 years. He wasn't that good in the first place except with his legs. Just ask Vince Young where that will get you. Riddin the pine baby where you belong. This is a throwing league, that makes Vick Screwed. The best place for him to go is somewhere where all they do is hand off the ball. Chicago would have been perfect but they got their man. Washington is going to have to play alot of games from behind which means they will have to throw the ball, which means Vick is not a good choice. 74 touchdowns to 52 int. That's not a good ratio my friend.

He said Vick was better than most backups, not most starters.

Which is a fair statement. It's just that the baggage becomes more important when a player isn't that good.

If you're a problem child and you have a lot of talent there will always be a team willing to take you. If you're a mediocre player it's a dealbreaker.

So, if you're gonna excuse Jackson, all those white folks back in the day should be excused too, right?

He didn't say he condoned it.

Exactly.

Jackson had his reasons for his actions and his feelings, and he did what he felt he could at the time. Is that the course of action that I would have taken? Probably not, but I didn't grow up in a legally segregated South and I didn't face what he faced.

My whole thing is he said They would be an automatic playoff contender.

To think that Vick makes them better than the Giants,Eagles, and Cowboys. And Vick is still not better than most back-ups. He wasn't good as a starter and he has been away from the game so no it is a fair statement or intelligent one.

Peter King made an interesting comment this morning:

7. I think Tony Dungy knows the Mike Vick story far better than I, and if he says Vick will sign with a team in camp, I say he's right. I also say, again, that it won't be with the Raiders.
8. I think, the more I watch football this summer, Vick's new team should be the Bills. Nothing against Trent Edwards. I just think the Bills are in it to win it this year.

He has starting experience and has played in the playoffs. In the right situation, he can perform well. The biggest mistake Atlanta made was getting rid of Reeves and trying to force Vick into a WCO.

You make it sound like he's a replacement level player, which is patently false.

Vick can not play until the last two preseason games, so it would be foolish for a team to sign him long before that time, especially if they have not had a chance to perform a complete evaluation of the quarterbacks who are currently on their roster first.

Really? Apparently the NFL doesn't agree with you. The Falcons orginazation kept him cause he put butts in seats. His career numbers tell everyone else a completely different story.

You obviously don't know the definition of "replacement level player".

Anyway, I explained to you why it's taking a while for him to sign. Read my fricking posts on this thread regarding that. It's not that difficult.

Yes it is because what you said. Wait didn't the cowboys get in touch with Pac Man before he was even reinstated? Your words are not law. Teams are smart enough to not want to deal with the baggage. Besides wouldn't teams want to get him in as soon as possible to learn their system even though he can't play till the second preseason game? He isn't football smart if a team really thinks he could help they would have taken him by now. He has been reinstated last I checked even though its conditional.

against a very week South at the time. I'm not impressed. His last 2 years He couldn't beat anyone.

Pac Man didn't have to sit out half the preseason and there wasn't an indeterminate length of suspension looming in front of him. Additionally, since you brought up Pac Man, the league knows what can happen when a guys misses a season of football. That's another reason that they are taking their time.

Not until AFTER they've completely evaluated their own QB situations. This is a roster spot and money under the salary cap that they have to deal with, as well.

Again, they would need to have a strong belief that he is better than their #2 guy, because most teams are only going to keep 2 QBs on the roster.

I'm not a Vick fan, but I am a fan of being objective and logical. You should try doing so at some point.

Vick will sign with a team within the next few weeks, and there will be an outcry by PETA. After a few months, cooler minds will prevail, even yours.

Please name the GOOD supporting cast VICK had around him at the time? Make excuses all you want for the NFC south being weak but the Falcons didn't have tons of weapons either. Vick WAS their weapon. Can you imagine what Vick would be like if he had great receivers, a GREAT O-line??? People bring up Vick's stats but they forget that he didn't have many good players or star players around him.

I'm not saying he won't sign with a team, I know he will. My question is will he be worth a roster spot? Time will definetly tell, my vote right now goes to NO.
