Simmons seems to think Lebron's legs are gone from playing so many minutes the entire playoffs. I'm surprised he isn't using this as a chance to attack James

Typical 1 game kneejerk reaction that people like Gregg Doyel and others will use to justify years of pent up disdain they've built for the guy.

But if he goes 40/10/10 next game and absolutely bukkakes all over the Mavs, I'm sure they'll find another argument for why that was actually shitty and a real champion would have involved Mike Bibby more.

Its easy to hate lebron when he's letting a POS organization, owner, city and superstar stay competitive in this.series. Should have been a sweep.

So, you're saying defense counts for...nothing? I'm guessing, if you'd put Dirk over Bron, you'd have to only be factoring offense.

He is praised for being able to defend 1-4. Why isn't he guarding the only real threat the macs have...nowitzki

I think LeBron is an insanely good defender...I just don't think he can guard the 4

He's such a moron too, that's the worst part. Everyone bows at his feet for a night. It's pathetic.

But yeah, LeBron did play like shite (and still almost got a triple double). Difference in Bron and Wade to me is that when Wade plays bad, Heat can still win. When Bron plays bad, they cannot.

Lord knows. Series might be over if he had been.

No shite. If the heat won half the people on here would be making threads saying how awesomezzzzz lebron and wade are. Tonight they either haven't shown up, are loving Dallas, or whining how dirk and the mavs really suck, they just got lucky.

During the season it was all about Kobe being the GOAT. Then D-Rose for a bit. Then LeBron was good and D-Rose sucked. Then Dirk was top 2 in the game during the Lakers series when half of the posters on here hated him the last 5 years. Then LeBron was the man in the first game and he was better than Jordan. Then Dirk again and finally LeBron sucks again.

The NBA posters on here are the absolute worst and they are all about what have you done for me lately. They are totally fine using a 1 game sample size to justify why 1 player is better than another.

Agreed. I'm not as much of an NBA fan as some on here, but it's pretty weird to see people obsess over individual players so much and either bash them or defend them incessantly.

I'm a big fan of Lebron. My only problem this entire playoffs was lack of effort in last nights game. I feel it was more then a bad game. He has 2 or 3 games left to make up for it though and I obviously hope he does.

All series long, people have been massively over-reacting to each game. How about we just admit it's a close series with both teams putting a premium on defense over offense?

Look at the rotations the teams are using -- when in doubt, teams are going all defense over scoring. Marion and Stephenson are playing huge minutes, and they are nearly worthless on the offensive end. It's lead to low scoring games, and pretty physical battles.

Wade, due to his quickness and his deal with Satan which allows him to torch the Mavs whenever he wants, has largely avoided the physical battles and then weaved through traffic to score layups. He's been unstoppable on the offensive end. Which means LeBron has played more of a support role -- why wouldn't he with Wade playing so well? He's been playing shutdown defense, distributing the ball, and crashing the boards. The rebounding war has been crucial to this series, and LeBron's been a huge part of that.

Last night was odd because it was the first game LeBron wasn't that active away from the ball. usually, he's been all over the place without the ball. Last night, he simply glided through, and it cost him.

The Mavs won because LeBron played like poo and Jason Terry finally decided to show up.

So Lebron had 8 points and the Mavs still only win by 3?

With Bosh and Wade combining for 56, I am guessing part of the reason Lebron had 8 may have been the Mavs defensive strategy. But I guess no one wants to give them credit, even the Mavs fans.

I want the Mavs to win, but I still think Heat in 6.

If LeBron wasn't such a passive bitch in the 4th then this series is over after last night.

Like I said before, this should've been a sweep.

Lebron is mentally weak. That's why he could never win by himself.

I wish there was a way for both teams to lose.
