Brent Musburger gets more excited calling these games than he did calling Va Tech/LSU in 07

1. They are not the best teams for that age group, not by a long shot.

Does he always talk about how the West regional winner is the best even if they've already been eliminated?

Chantilly, Va. has a team! they play Warner-Robbins, Ga. Depending on the side of Chantilly it is, they either flew down in charter jets or they hopped in a Ford Ranger and made the trek.

actually it is pretty rare for Louisiana to send a team...

and if you look at it compared to dizzy dean, USSSA and babe ruth baseball this is weak weak YOUTH baseball....

heck at YBBR 10 year olds had fences further than they have in LLB..

the team from La that made it to the the semis and the team from bridge city tx were just run of the mill teams playing USSSA ball..

and LL is simply not practical in larger cities...

When my son started playing at age 5, he and I would watch these games and think wow these kids are good.

Now he is 11 and plays on a tournament team. We sat down and watched the game last night and both thought, these teams are not that good and the umpire is horrible.

46' mound with 60' bases at 12 years old.

I think only two players that have ever played in LLWS have made it to MLB

It's more than that but the numbers don't aid LLB.

Its fun to watch, but the teams aren't that good. The 12 year old league in Baton Rouge plays on fences that are 240 down the line, not that pussy 205 shite.
