Feel sorry for all the kids including Gunner. Coach should have yanked him after the second run crossed. One of the worst coaching jobs blow ups in the HISTORY of LLWS.

I agree. It's not easy to take, but they'll remember the trip forever. Now it's time for football practices!

Coaches Fault, i would of pitched Trey one more batter, he would of got him out and non of it would of happen..

Gotta agree with this. I kept telling my wife that it made absolutely no sense not to let the ace pitch to at least that first batter in the 6th (heck, you never know if he got the batter to ground out or fly out on the first ptich he might have gotten 2). It's not like they were going to use him tomorrow or anytying.

I've been following this thing off and on since the regional finals and the thing that strikes me is the number of errors these teams make. In addition to the first base error, the center fielder let one go right by him without even appearing to try to catch it.

I know they are only 12 but I don't see this many errors in local league ball much less travel and allstar. (of course the pitching for those LLWS teams is way above anything I see around here).

I know they were going to pitch the SS tomorrow if they won today. When the wheels started coming off, why not bring in the SS and let him pitch. Isn't the rule that if a kid throws less than 20 pitches, he can pitch again the next day?

That kid at SS would have come in and thrown 9 strikes and the game would have been over.

SS couldn't pitch today. he pitched last game and pitched 85 pitches so he has to sit 2 days and a game

Ok, my bad. I didn't know he had pitched in the US semi-final game.
