I could dig that if it was Grimm instead of Buckel.

Not only would I say no to that trade, I would say frick no.

I can't stand Upton..he doesn't play hard, doesn't even look like he cares.
And I don't think Shields is all that good, personal opinion.

Starling Marte just went yard on the first pitch of his major league career.

Awesome!!! There might be hope after all for my fantasy team.

If it means trading Olt or Profar for Greinke, then I don't want him.
I'm not a big fan of his no matter who we deal for him.

Profar is untouchable

Absolutely..no doubt.
I'm not sure I'd throw Olt in there unless it was Johnson (I would have done it for Hamels).

You are overrating Olt, IMHO. I like the kid, not in love with him.

He's arguably the top 3rd base prospect in the game.

Thats not saying much really. It is all relative. I'd rather Sano than Olt.

Let's go over the candidates that one could possibly trade Olt for:
Shields: Wildly inconsistent. Having a so-so to bad year.
Greinke: Never pitched in a big game. Is a head case. Hasn't played in a big city like DFW.
Johnson: Had some good seasons but coming off a shoulder injury. Has issues with blisters. Already had Tommy John. Never pitched in a big game.
Why would you trade Olt for any of these guys? I do like Johnson though, so I might include Olt in a trade for him.

Raw power potential Sano has the edge. If neither of those guys hit tool pans out, Olt will still have Glove Glove defense to fall back on.
It is all relative though. Some may like Arenado better than the other two.

I'd deal him for Greinke in a heartbeat. Don't James. if it was just Olt for Johnson, yes, I would, once you add more prospects, I would back away.

JJ would have been so good if not for the arm injury. It's a shame. He's still a good pitcher, but not what he could have been.

Why would you deal him for Greinke? Just curious.
I'm not sure Greinke would really be a great addition for the Rangers.

Cause I have long loved Greinke. One of my favorite pitchers in the game today.

When I typed that post about Sano, I couldn't help but think when you said he was Albert Pujols playing SS.
