Rangers.. please please please take Jonathan Broxton just so I know the Giants can't make the mistake of trading for him.

Dodgers and Cubs still talking Dempster, this time the Cubs are trying to include Alfonso Soriano in the deal.

Look, I don't care what Theo or Jed do this trade deadline, if they can get rid of Soriano that's a major victory.

At least he's been good this year.

And I will be happy if he goes and succeeds, but he is useless to the Cubs. But good for him for putting together a solid year so far.

looks like we're not in on Lee.

Dodgers still focused on Dempster. Oh, and Victorino too apparently.

the dempster deal is just funny to me. the dodgers have all the leverage. i'm hopin we get him for virtually nothing.

victorino would be a nice pickup cause he can hit leadoff.

disagree. if the cubs don't like the offer, they won't trade and just get a supplement pick for him in next year's draft. theo and hoyer aren't going to trade him just to trade him.

they don't have to trade him, but the dodgers have all the leverage.

1. they know he wants to play in LA

2. they already saw the deal the Braves had in place for Dempster, and they won't offer anything better than that
