I'm referring to this part:
The tournaments drive revenue for the stars. The French Open will not harmed by her withdrawal. She may be harming herself but not the tournament. To her credit she was smart enough to blame it on anxiety.

The real litmus test would be if she makes the same demand to Wimbledon and the US Open.

But people without heart do refuse to speak with the media. Interviews are as much a part of the game as stepping on the court. If she can't meet all of the obligations and responsibilities required, perhaps it's best for everyone that she doesn't play.

I'm surprised she actually quit the tournament.

Alternatively, she has a much better sense of what may harm herself than you do, she believes continue on Roland Garros' terms would cause her harm and she values her mental health more than playing in this tournament.
You have concluded that she's faking her anxiety. I don't know her nearly as intimately as you claim to know her, so I'm agnostic on the question. I do remember seeing Ricky Williams do interviews with his helmet on, so this is a thing.

She said she has bad anxiety. She is a big SJW and I think it began as some type of statement to support those with mental illness. She got a bunch of backlash from other players and media, so then it morphed into her saying she is having issues and she eventually just quit the tournament. I think she actually means well, her statement isn't too bad. She's just young and stupid and has bad handlers.
I do notice why is it that just about all mixed race that are half blacks uses themselves as being black? What is up with that?

She didn’t have anxiety posing in those fluorescent bikinis with color matching hair though. I don’t recall Ricky doing shite like that on the side but I could be wrong

Like being on the cover of ESPN magazine in a dress?

I’m not that read up on this whole thing and it does seem a little off that she would just quit because she doesn’t want to talk to the media.
But if you’ve ever heard her do an interview she is awkward as frick while talking. She may actually have legit mental anxiety when it comes to interviews

I'm just a guy on a LSU message board expressing opinions and having conversations. I reserve the right to be wrong (the ultimate disclaimer)
I would just like to point out that she seems to be quite selective with how and when her anxiety effects her.
I can honestly say that I hope she feels better soon. I don't think she's a bad person. I think this situation has been mishandled.

That's a very Calvinball definition of having heart. Not only do you need to be able to dig deep and draw from the best of yourself to defeat another equally as competitive person who is literally the best in the world, but you also have to be able to talk to the media to the liking of random fans. This implies that no one was ever had heart until the media arrived. Weird definition.

This is incredibly stupid. Interviews are much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much less important to the game than what actually happens in the game. If interviews were more important than Neil DeGrasse Tyson or Anna Kendreck would have gone number 1 over Trever Lawrence. What a statement.

She did. What do you think this is all about? She decided that it was not in her best interest to meet the terms Roland Garros required, so she, since she's her own boss, chose to bow out. She did exactly what you're asking her to do. What's the problem?
Posted on 5/31/21 at 9:15 pm to saintsfan22
Ricky did that before he came out as having a problem.
She did a spread last week and now she can’t interview, I find it very selective.

Lost in all this is she’s not a really great player away from hardcourts. See her results in Wimbledon and at Roland garros. What’s another third round exit in the scheme of the women’s draw anyhow. She’s extremely unlikeable in my opinion and this does nothing to change that view. Good for the tournament organizers to stick to their guns here regardless of how the media can be.

As she explained, her anxiety is about talking to people. I'm not sure how many people she had to talk to to take a picture.

At the time, the EXACT same things were being said about Ricky.
As I said, I don't know the lady, you seem to believe that you do and have convinced yourself that's she's lying to you. That's not a conclusion you could have reasoned yourself into, so I won't try to reason you out of it.

Competes for Japan but has lived in the US since she was 3
She seems like a bitch anyways so good riddance

Uh. Do you think he caught crippling social anxiety somewhere between the draft and training camp? Boy, the things you guys have to tell yourselves...
