NBA on NBC was the best back in the day, but I think TNT would rank above both today.

NBA on NBC was retro shite, that is what made it so great with the theme song and evrything, plus they had bigger than life stars in Jordan, Bird, and Magic. TNT fits in perfectly with todays hip hop generation.

Actually, Magic and Bird were way past their prime by the time the NBA went to NBC. I'm not even sure if Bird or pre-first-retirement-Magic ever played a game on NBC.

maybe so, but Jordan was certainly the catalyst, and a lot great stars like Reggir Miller, Isaih Thomas, Clyde the Glide and Hakeem helped with NBC's soaring.

Magic was in the 1991 Finals against the Bulls.

And on another note. Both Bird and Magic played the MOST important game on NBC. The 1979 title game that changed the game of basketball as far as popularity.
