Just got back from the game -- I was crying my eyes out the entire way. Worst night of my life. No doubt we lost because I forgot to wear my lucky Bulldogs shirt from 1989. Oh, well. It was a great run and we made some unforgettable memories. I've been with this team through thick and thin, and it has paid off. We'll be back.

Just got back from the game and wow that was terrible. I mean congrats to Uconn for winning it all but that was by far one of the worst games i've ever seen. The shooting performance was horrible on both ends. Must say there were alot of Kentucky and VCU fans still there. VCU fans were loud and vocal at times for their school. I guess now I can saw I went to a Final 4.

i woke up this morning still in awe of how bad that game was last night ... 12-of-64 shooting from the floor ? NO points in the paint for an entire game ? i am still stunned that a team that lost to youngstown state during conference play in february played for the NC ..

Everyone is saying how surprised they are that Butler went zone at some point in the 2nd half.
But I just think this is a reason why every team needs to make sure they have a good zone defense in their arsenal. I was thinking to myself that it would be a perfect time to go zone, if they had a decent one, right when UConn started their initial run in the 2nd half. Walker wasn't shooting it well, so that would have put a lot of pressure on Lamb, because the rest of Connecticut's team doesn't shoot it well from the outside.
Now, they would have had a tough time rebounding, but they were having trouble with that already. I think it could have really frustrated UConn and allowed Butler to stay in the game longer than they did.
However, Butler wasn't very good in the zone, and it showed. UConn got a few easy lob plays, and was still able to get decent penetration against it. Butler is obviously a great man-to-man team, and they guard ball screens with the best of them, but sometimes you have to be capable of giving your opponent some sort of different look. Butler wasn't able to do that, and it could have ended up costing them.
