I've had it since Monday with the upper tier preorder early release, it's really good. Gameplay is finally in its best spot in many years with the revamped skating engine. Probably the best NHL of the decade.
Reviews are very positive as a result.

I love Joel Ward. He's probably my favorite ex-Cap in the league right now other than Beagle. He is what he is, but he'll be cheap and play hard.

yea same, I turned him into a monster on my NHL 17 Calgary dynasty.
tried following his actual career after that, and its been disappointing to say the least
turning prospects into beasts and trading away overpaid people was one of my favorite parts of the NHL game. might have to grab 19 now
