Corsi is underlying stat. It shows how the Caps have dominated flow of play - its plus/minus for shots. But its mainly used to show which players are driving action.

Yeah, I'm aware of it. I look at all those things too, but you can easily get caught up in that stuff and lose sight of what counts most. And in games like this, it's obvious that the Caps have dominated the flow of play. I'd imagine the SJ/Avs #'s had to be similar.
