Pittsburgh by less than Miami beat Pitt today

It’s very tangential to your main point, but this is stupid. ND was up 21-3 at the half; Miami was up 17-7. ND was up 28 when Pitt scored against ND’s backups as time expired to make it 22. Miami was up 24 when their starters threw a bomb with a minute left to make it 31.

Interestingly enough, ND and Miami have a lot of common data points

Stanford
Miami 42-7, ND 35-3 (halftime)
Syracuse
Miami 38-10, ND 70-7
NC State
Miami 41-7, ND 36-7
Pittsburgh
Miami 38-7, ND 37-15

And of course the h2h Miami win.

ND pulled its starters in the 3rd quarter against Pitt, and Narduzzi decided to get a final TD with 8 seconds left. Miami left its starters in with an injured Heintschel to score a beauty points TD with 40 seconds left.

We're about to lay 60+ on Stanford to emphasize the point, but we are a far superior team to those cokehead fricks at this point. They won't pass us. Thanks for playing, Hurricanes.

We'd be a double digit favorite against them right now. Probably a 5 - 7 point favorite against your soft arse West Coast team right now as well. Good luck, Ducks. We haven't won anything of consequence in recent years. You haven't won anything of consequence ever...in all of college football history.

Okay, so let’s say ND played Pitt marginally better than Miami. You think that justifies saying they are playing on the level of Ohio State? Or it’s the two TD win over Boston College.

If you want to add context, how about Narduzzi saying before the ND game that the game didn’t matter for Pitt?

Vandy has better wins than ND and Miami, both of Vandy’s losses were on the road at Texas and Bama

huh? Vandy may not have a ranked win when rankings are released, maybe Tennessee if they keep them in the top 25. Miami and ND beat ND and USC, respectively.

Compared to us? Yes.

We'd shove your asses all over the field. It wouldn't look all that different from OSU / Oregon from last year.

Oregon beat USC by more than you since we’re getting into pissing contests.

You’re not trotting out Jeremiah Smith and those receivers from last year

Nah, but I've watched enough of your mediocre squad to know we're straight up better than you all this year.

You can’t say that because your schedule is trash.

You haven’t faced a stiff breeze for months.

Also, Oregon is about to get a bunch injured players back.

Good luck. I’m not sure why you have so much bravado

crazy, last week notre dame was better than miami but this week they're not. that's whats so bad about this committee. Stop playing politics and just give honest, consistent rankings

It was stupid they ever had ND above Miami. But at least they did right by Miami here.

I would have liked to see them acknowledge that we all have eyes and saw what happened to Bama yesterday, and put ND ahead of them. But at least they did right by Miami.
