Plus Razor was back on the broadcast. Sometimes he's more fun than the game itself.
Unfortunately once the team gets sold, the new Vancouver-based owner will probably look to relocate the Stars to Seattle.

I would support this.
Luongo is starting the season strong again, I see.

I missed it but why did Claude Juilen get kicked out of B's-Hurricanes?
b/c at one point in the 3rd the canes had 3 straight 2 minute 5 on 3's. and then back to back 5 on 4 power plays. and he mouthed off. I hardly ever complain about the refs but last night was ridiculous.

I saw it. what pisses me off is chara got the 15 for being the 3rd man in. the canes had a 3rd man in twice later in the game and got nothing for it. I'm fine with chara going off for that but be consistent.

Dallas,Colorado, and Detroit all sitting on up of the western conference. Is this 1999? Dallas is having issues selling out games. That's going to hurt if Houston wants a team.

Woah woah woah. Houston isn't Dallas. I am 36% positive that Houston could halfway support a hockey team

that was poorly sarcastic humor.
Houston has a great AHL fan base but a rockets owner who won't sign off on another team lease.

Dallas had horrible attendance for the opener: a 6 PM faceoff going on at the same time as an ALCS game, in Arlington. I'm a huge hockey fan and I didn't watch one second of the Stas game. Are you kidding me? It was the ALCS.
Ralph and Razor are a joy. I love the Stars broadcast. Just a ton of fun, and far better than the team probably deserves.

We've got Simmons for the season

Let's leave the idiocy of the lockout aside for a second. I realized something during last night's Kings-Blues game: I have never not enjoyed myself at an NHL game. I mean, what's not to love? It's a sport with the best in-game format (long period, long break, long period, long break, long period, go home), best regular-season in-game wrinkle (the shootout), best secretly awesome moment (any fight), highest percentage of "most likable players" (hands down), and highest percentage of "true fans in attendance" of the four major sports (indisputable). They fixed many of the sport's problems, made it better, and now we're here.

Typical Simmons. Call it a hockey column and talk about the NBA for 2000 words.

After last night's game, I decided to make a new desktop wallpaper for my favorite Canucks player.
Let me know what you guys think:

I think it's a rant of him flipping off Stern and Billy Hunter a
LA's fan base imo would welcome him with open arms. Boston is a lot tougher because they really have a hardcore fan base.

Right now? The door has swung wide-open for the Kings. As the clock counted down their 5-0 victory last night, I looked around and noticed that, incredibly, just about every fan had stuck around for the final minute. They chanted "LET'S GO KINGS! LET'S GO KINGS!" until the final horn, then skipped out of Staples Center happily, hoping this would finally be their year. And it might. Me? I drove home thinking, Maybe I'm not gonna miss basketball as much as I thought. Life moves on. It always does.
he's not a college hoops guy being a Holy Cross grad. I don't blame him getting back into hockey. Game has marginally improved since the lock out 7 years ago.
