Eric Staal scored a goal this weekend. He's been slumping for god knows how long.

I heard he was like a -17 or something crazy like that at one point. I'd rather it be Jordan with numbers like that (or Marc if he was playing) but hopefully he goes back in the tank tonight.

Plus we should see Bobrovsky (Bobs) tonight. He's looked good and maybe playing better than Bryzgalov so far this season. Why did the Flyers give such a Looonnngggg & HUGE contract to Bryz? He better bring Philly the Cup. But I really like Bobs too!

Canes actually beat the penguins last Sat night.

No doubt Bobs has looked good this season except for the stinker vs the Peg (ugh that game was insanity.) Bryz seems like he's been trying to do too much in goal. Hopefully he continues to play big in net like he did last night. I think the contract was just Snider's decree that we were going to get a goaltender at any cost. I would've been happy with Vokoun for Versteeg at the deadline last year to solidify us in net (with Bob backing him up) but it is what it is.

My boss here is a big Pens fan so we argue daily. He's been crying over Jagr and Talbot pretty much the whole year. I usually give the Jagr salute when I see him in the building.

Sweet!
I can't wait for HBO's 24/7 upcoming in Dec. Gotta order HBO for a month just for those episodes!

Winter Classic will be epic! So will the alumni game. I'm looking forward to that as much as I am the classic itself.

Jeff Skinner of Carolina has really hitting his strides this year. NHL needs to step it up with marketing their players soon. So much young talent that doesn't deserve to go un noticed.

Didn't Owen Nolan get a few games off after wiping out Belfour when he was out of his element a few years back. Happened during the playoffs, if I remember right.

Milan Lucic will not be suspended for his open-ice hit on Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller in Saturday night's 6-2 victory over Buffalo at TD Garden, the league announced this afternoon. Lucic had a conference call with Brendan Shananan, NHL's disciplinary czar, at 1 p.m.today.

"I had the hearing because I did make an initial assessment of the play as I do with all plays, but I did have some questions for Milan and I wanted to hear directly from him," Shanahan told NHL.com. "They were regarding his intent; at what point did he know there was going to be a collision; and whether or not he felt he had the time to avoid the collision. I was satisfied with his answers."
