Actually, accepted wisdom in the NHL right now is that goalies are overrated. Outside of Boston, most recent Cup winners had pretty pedestrian goalies: the Hawks even let theirs walk. The Red Wings famously put Anonymous Goalie back there.

They are still in talks but no deal has been reached, Yz skipped out on the awards show to meet with Stamkos today to start contract talks.
