Personally I do not think it matters if Silva was more motivated than he has ever been in his entire life. Weidman is the superrior fighter and wins.

What did you see from Weidman that showed he was superior in anyway? He got a takedown as expected but didn't do any significant damage at all while he was on top. Then went for a few submissions and AS was back on his feet.

After that Silva started picking away at Weidman with the leg kicks and a few punches. You could clearly see Weidman was getting frustrated. Silva got too cocky though. he didn't just have his hands down when he got caught. He pretended to be hurt and acted like he was going down instead of his normal counter moves. He got caught this time though and was KO'd. Where was Weidmans superiority?

Fedor resume >>> Silva in all departments.

1. Top end competition faced
2. Depth of competition faced.
3. Losses

Better losses + better wins = Fedor > Silva

The real arguement is GSP vs Fedor FYI.

title defenses
Anderson: 10 UFC
Fedor: 3 Pride

top 10 wins ( LINK)
Anderson: 16
Fedor: 12

Now I see your angle.

Ill bite and debate you on this one. What are Fedors better losses + better wins? We will tackle that one first.

LOL. No. The greatest fighter of all time would respect his opponent's skill and fight to the best of his abilities every time he was in the cage. Anderson Silva can eat a box of dicks.

Am I the only who kinda feels like Anderson hasn't been inspired or into it in years?

It almost seems like he wanted to lose.

I wouldn't. Everything he says is going to be Fedor Good. Anderson Bad. Trust me, I know more about MMA then you do. Etc... Etc... that kind of BS. Not worth the time.

I think he was for Chael in the second fight. Other then that, I think everyone thinks AS hasn't been into it in years.

I wouldn't go that far. Weidman beat him fair and square, so saying stuff like this takes something away from that. JMO

I told you guys a week ago Weidman was the superior fighter.

I find it comical some fanboys still can't admit it after Silva was totally dominated, landed 1 jab the whole fight and got KTFO.

Really nothing more to say.

He does this in every single mma thread. "I know more, I've been watching it for over 9000 years, you need help" like they're facts.

Edit: Also claims that Auburn was national champion in 83 and not Miami.

Would certainly appear that way. Some people here still want to argue about Silva and Weidman even though I laid out the reality of the fight to a T beforehand.

And I will say again Anderson will turn down a rematch because he knows he will lose again.

Wait and see.

It's always cool to pic the underdog. Just like the idiots saying " I told y'all Serra would beat GSP" after their first fight

Might be cool to you, but not to me. I don't need or want "cool points" and mybe you like picking underdogs, but I like picking winners.

And I said before the fight I have NEVER bet against Silva. I put $500 on Weidman because that was the most I could transfer with my debit card.

If you think that is me trying to be cool, ok den, whatever.

Again, where in the fight was Weidman clearly the superior fighter. Not what you stated before the fight occurred but by what he did in the fight.

And where was Silva dominated? He was taken down once, frustrated weidman in his guard, defended against a sub attempt, and then got back to his feet. From there he used leg kicks and jabs to start picking at weidman. Chris was clearly frustrated. his corner told him to calm down. 2nd round AS begins showing his arse more than ever. Fakes going down and got tagged.

Now explain to me how you saw Weidman man handle Silva.

He got Silva to the ground. Not a whole lot of people can say that.

Was just a matter of time before his song and dance ended with a KO. Not a big fan, but man he was such a lethal striker in all his preceeding matches. I had a feeling about this one. Glad he got smoked while doing his little drunk wobble.
