Watson misses the birdie but taps in for par. Going to 18 at -4. One back of the lead. If he finishes with a par on 18 he'll be the story of day for 2 days in a row.
On the other hand. Greg Norman, last year's feel good story at the Open will finish +12 and he has the look of a guy who just showed up to play with someone elses clubs at the last minute. Just doesn't look concerned.

he's fricking chris evert and makes wine, what's to be concerned about. Plus he doesn't have to worry about Sergio being his son in law anymore

Phan, you make a great point about the Shark.
Tiger goes over the green on 13, then chips it short and rolls right back down the hill to his feet. Decides to putt it back up the hill and runs it 5 feet past. has a comebacker for bogey.

Tiger misses the comebacker and notches his second double bogey in 4 holes. He's +7. ABC better come up with stories for the weekend. Maybe they can show Tiger's all time highlight reel.
Stricker has to be crushed after shooting -4 yesterday he throws a 77 on the board today and is +3.
Tom Watson reaches the green from the rough on 18. Will have a 40 foot birdie putt.

Sergio hits an 8 iron from 192 (with a 20mph wind behind him--but still). Thats crazy.

If I didn't know any better, I would swear I was watching Tom at Turnberry 30 years ago.

I just had a power spike and lost electricity right before Watson putted. When the power came back on I saw them all celebrating and saw the replay. That's two bombs he's rolled in today on the back nine. He's had at least two or three other birdie putts be right there but narrowly miss. What a comeback after 5 bogeys on the front nine including 4 in a row. This could end up being the most amazing sports story IN MY LIFETIME if Watson pulls this thing off. Incredible to watch this great champion.

Only 7 players have finished under par for today's round so far.
