Ed wade wants mike Hampton. That's all you need to know about how much faith to have in astros personnel decision making this off season.

If they were to sign a solid number 2, that wouldn't be a bad pick up if it was an incentive laden 1 year deal. Unfortunately it looks like they aren't going to do that and will have a crap shoot of a rotation.

You still have to rely on Wolf, Wandy and Moehler and I don't think they'll be good like last year.

Wandy is going to kick some arse in '09.

Cy Young level arse-kicking.

I guess like a failed sfp argument, you have to stick with it now cuz it's too late to do otherwise, eh?

Do not doubt the Wandy!!

Okay, unlike SFP, this was a joke to begin with, kinda like Braves fans.

if we trade escobar i will be very upset. guy has a brighter future than peavy.

Only if Peavy's arm is shot. He's still young and and a top 5 MLB pitcher > a SS who hits .300 with 15 homeruns and 75 RBI. Would the Padres play him at 2nd, or would the Braves be getting Khalil Greene too?

The Padres want to trade Greene, probably in a separate deal.

He's a bad fit for Petco.

Yeah, I just read that. I'm not sure what the Braves would do at short. Plus, they would almost have to add a quality bat in LF to make up for some of the lost offense.

Speaking of LF, Holliday in the Cardinals lineup might mean some sick seasons for Pujols.

And just how bad do the Padres want to suck in '09?
