Ole Miss is 5-4 and 3-3.
I just hate all the double standards with SEC fans. When a top team loses in an upset in conference it's "the SEC's so deep". When it happens in any other conference, it's "that conference sucks".
I'm not saying the SEC's not a great conference (2nd best this year, IMO). It's just you can't use the argument of depth for your conference, then, when the exact same thing happens in another conference, use it against them.

Pretenders? So So. A team can't help the quality of their conference opponents. Penn St just did what was asked of them. Now could PSU beat Florida and Oklahoma? I'd bet no. USC, TT, and Bama? No to TT, yes to Bama and No to USC. But a possible Rose Bowl invite is one helluva deal.
On a side note, I just hope the big ten and/or pac ten don't go the NC this year. You want a playoff system? Get a conference title game first.

. On the other conferences sucking, I wouldn't say the that Big 12 sucks at all. The Pac-10 though just can't produce a steady if any competition to the USC juggernaut. The Big-10 doesn't suck, but cleary the SEC big dogs have had their way with the Big 10's. The middleweight matches though have slightly favored the Big 10 over the past few years. But regarding this year, The SEC is the 2nd best while the Big 12 deserves the unchallenged #1 spot.
