Cig has the Mark Cuban money coming in now. It would be a good choice but not a given.

Even Jo Pa only won like 2 titles and were they shared? 400+ wins and 40+ years and could only win 2 big ones. And haven’t for near or over 40 years now. They just aren’t an Alabama or Ohio state. They aren’t even Texas who is marginally more frequent in their championships.

This is surprising to me. I know he hasn't been the best, but they just made it to the semis of the CFP last year.

Wonder if there's something else going on there or if it's just them realizing he'll never get them to the top.

frick Penn St and frick James Franklin. I hope Penn St loses every single game for the rest of eternity for what happened under Joe Pa and Sandusky.

Franklin is a good coach. He’ll have a job quickly.

Maybe we can hire him and he can hire Pry as his DC and we get back some of Prys payout

I definitely think he deserved a little more leeway, but sometimes the tide turns very fast in general perception.

I don't know what they were ranked to start the season, but it was pretty high. You have a 5-star returning QB, and you lose to a horrific UCLA team, and a whatever Northwestern team, you are playing with fire. If they had started the season without huge expectations, I think he survives.

They were ranked #2. He 100% blew this season and it's an epic failure but who they bringing in that guarantees they pass Ohio St? Anyone other than Cignetti seems like a mystifying move.

I’m surprised but I guess not surprised. I figured last year would buy him more grace.

I mean their season is over. 3 losses already two of them bad ones and their qb is out for the season. No reason to wait until December.

This. And it would be for no more than 5 years considering his age.
