I won't disagree with this. However If you want to put LT in there thats you. BUT WHAT RB out of the 10 listed would YOU take if you knew you had him in his prime for 10 years?? It may not be a fair question for you since you only saw maybe three of them play.

jim brown then LT

i just can't see a RB being more complete than LT was when he was at his peak. he literally had no weakness. he could run inside, outside, speed plays, power player, could block, and was an excellent receiver

jim brown is just a boss. he's a rare athlete that you could literally pluck out of his era and put him in the modern game and he would do well. wilt chamberlain may be the only other guy in football/basketball that you can say this with.

If I could put ONE back in the Rams O that you keep talking about it would be Barry Sanders. Just imagine what kind of #'s he could have put up. He was an awesome reciever. And all those NEGATIVE plays would have not been there. THINK ABOUT IT.

I would put Dickerson in that list and replace Smith. I just think Eric was a better back. Sanders was good but I think if Simms would've stayed healthy, he would be considered Detroit's greatest RB, JMO.

ETA: I would replace Sanders with Thomas also.

You can say what you want, but if I was making a team of all time players, it would be sanders pick 1 brown pick 2.

Are you serious??? Yes ED could have done well with the Cowboys Line that emmitt had, BUT the dude was a PUSS. Did NOT want to take a hit. He falls on my list JUST for that.

Geez here we go again. You do realize Billy Simms was a 1 pick, won the Heisman as a Wishbone RB, had size speed and could catch the ball? He blew his knee out so never got to showcase talent.

Thomas caused Sanders to sit on the bench in college and was second most important offensive part of a team that went to 4 Super Bowls. As he went, the Bills went.

Could've done well? HOF, lead AFC and NFC in rushing, set record for most yards in a year, was part of the biggest trade at time of NFL. Oh and that trade also set the fortunes for 3 teams for a decade.

ETA: why am I arguing with a guy that claims Bobby Hebert deserves to be in all time top 10 of QB's of modern era?

well is this list based on accomplishments or potential? serious question.

and I don't understand why people always sleep on Emmitt. He did something that will probably never be matched, but people act like you can run 18000+ yards as long as you just have a good offensive line a few of those years. No way should he ever be removed from the top 10. He was one of the toughest overachievers to ever play the game.

I lived in MICH at the time. He was a GREAT college back and I remember the ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST crap in 1980 with the LIONS. However, To say that he would have been the BEST back in DETROIT HISTORY is a HUGE STRETCH.

SANDERS>>>>>>>>>>>>Thomas. IN COLLEGE.

In a GREAT OFFENSE that had talent galore compared to the LIONS. I WILL SAY this. Put Sanders on ANY of those Bills teams and they win at least TWO if those SB'S. Thomas was a fail in the SB except for the 1st one.

If Sanders was better than Thurman in Stillwater, why did Thurman start and Sanders return kicks?

Sanders wouldn't have beat Giants, Skins, or Cowboys as RB on the Bills, stop reaching.
