UL was a victim of the conference they play in, which is two steps above of a Class B LHSAA district.
that is what i was thinking as well. oh well not my problem.

I remember Toby claiming to have gone to UL but at the same time is a proud member of Abbeville's finest. I don't think going to City Bar on Friday night in an Aeropostale polo and drinking jager bombs like a champ qualifies you as going to school.

To be honest, most people in Lafayette think ULL is good at softball. That said, a majority of the town is shocked this time of year when they hear how good they are. Pretty sad actually.
I'm an LSU fan first, but I'm still disgusted at ULL's performance. They did a hell of a job, but they are actually a lot better than they showed at the Super Regional. How do I feel? As someone that grew up here, I'm accustom to ULL finding a way to disappoint me.

While i root for both teams, LSU without a doubt had the easier draw. Still wonder why LSU when to A&M and Baylor went to Lafayette. Makes more sense to send a school to the nearest regional. NCAA committeess are screwy no doubt. LSU baseball got hosed last year, UL softball hosed this year. Hard to figure out UL's case as a top 10 team in rankings, good RPI but still seeded 14th( after beating Michigan and Az. St earlier in the year at that). Head to head, i think UL would take 2 outta 3 from LSU
I agree with the UL better hitting but the problem with UL is their pitchers worked up and the corners. No ability to work down in the strike zone which is what you have to do to ASU's hitters. Mack would match up well against ASU. Disagree with lsu getting the easier draw. While going to ASU is no picnic the tigers had to beat 2 top 10 teams twice at their place on back to back weekends.

They should be more mad that UL made it the LSU baseball regional, but it was Monroe and not Lafayette.
FINALLY!!! It only took 12 years!!!

I'm encouraged by all the non-trolling and the disappointment that you guys are exhibiting at the failure of UL in baseball & softball this season. You guys are really turning the corner.

How many regionals did the Cajuns have to win on the road?
I really feel sorry for you guys sometimes. Not because of your team's failure, but because of the lack of knowledge your fans possess.

I'm not sure if you are serious or not, but there's not even a plausible argument against the fact that LSU's draw was easier.
ULL got hosed and everyone in the national media admitted that. ASU had the biggest gripe other than ULL and that was because they pulled ULL.
If you are indeed refuting that, than please refrain from calling any other fan bases out for their "ignorance".

I'll go with B, mainly because I'm not a baseball/softball fan. I'd like to have seen them win, of course.
but, this is a shitty thread. Any team in the state I wish success for, The Saints, LSU, ULL, The Hornets, Tulane, It doesn't matter. If only others could take that same approach, you know, where you wish well on your state.

like so many penis envy USL fans???? oh the irony. If you are going to dish it out you have to be able to take it and USL fans cannot do that. It is obvious. Yes, plenty LSU fans pull for them as well and that is fine. I did not see any LSU fans talking smack here to USL fans nor on the street IRL, no need to, we were focused on our team, and I am sure plenty LSU fans could have cared less about USL to begin with. fine, to each his own. Not so with USL fans and their insecurity and envy(especially with our football and baseball)so they took the chance they THOUGHT they had with softball and talked trash for weeks now about how great their softball was. Well, that did not work out so good either did it now?

Easy answer: Baylor and A&M are in the same conference. Teams from the same conference are not paired in the same regional. Super regionals - yes.

Drawing a 2 seed when you have the better team in the regional is easier than hosting in the first round?

How did you get hosed? They had a chance to prove themself...FAIL.
By your own argument, both teams were "hosed". ASU somehow found a way to overcome.
Score more than 2 runs on the final day, then come back with an argument.
Is it Cajun tradition to always find the easiest path to the ultimate goal? Hell! The football team has played a progressively easier schedule for the past few years. After "dumbing down" their schedule to almost nothing, "What do you know! We are bowl eligible!"

I love the predominant theme always ending up being "LOL ULL" in these threads.
BUT NO ONE CARES AMIRITE?

This is what happens when you have a group of fans, like Cajun fans, who believe they are something they are not. You guys had the chance to prove the critics wrong, you failed.
You guys finished with the 12th best RPI in the country and drew a 14 seed, no one screwed you. This is another reason why we laugh.
