Then you never saw Mac play. McEnroe is one of those "you had to be there" athletes. Hell, I wouldn't argue with McEnroe as #1. That guy just played beautifully. He's one of those rare athletes I would call an artist.

I watched him and to compare him athletically to Nadal is laughable.

For me (and this could definitely change especially if Djok continues on his run), swap Agassi with Djok, Nadal with McEnroe and Borg with Fed.

O and awesome call on Edberg, maybe the most entertaining player to watch ever. .

Thats fine. But MAC would get in his MIND so much it would be over. [except for the French]. But a Wimbledon, MAC would smoke rafa.[ BOTH IN THEIR PRIME].

Fed is cold as ice and that would would be a match i'd pay a lot of money to see. Fed has the best looking backhand of all time and just straight up the best forehand of all time.

edit: IMO

Fed's backhand is pretty good (although it is his weak link), but it's definitely not the best looking of all time. Gasquet's backhand >>> Fed's

Yeah its not the best part of his game. Love the one handed backhand though.

Wilander and Becker could be in there, too. To me, I have always thought GOAT is Fed/Sampras/Laver (you can make arguments for each), Borg/Nadal, then a whole pack of guys at like 6-8 majors (Connors, Mac, Edberg, Lendl, Becker, Wilander, Agassi). Agassi maybe gets a bump up for winning all four.

Fed in his prime as the king on grass couldn't get in Rafa's head. Rafa is as strong mentally as anyone who's ever played the game.

He and Mac are so similar in their passion and competitiveness it's scary. Those two plus Borg are the most driven, competitive players to pick-up a racquet.

In this generation?? YES. But MAC would SMOKE HIM at Wimblemdon. FACT. So would Borg.

Nole belongs nowhere near that list yet. Mats Wilander, Connors, Agassi and Lendl simply had superior careers by a wide margin at this point

Opinion.

Rafa is the closest thing to a modern day Borg, and Borg had legendary matches with Mac at Wimbledon. To say Rafa would be smoked by Mac is laughable at best.
