Oh yeah, I'm not arguing that lamar should be in the conversation for mvp, I'm just pointing out pride not knowing context behind stats. He said the qb only has to face the defense he's playing, without taking into context how said qbs defense performs dictates how a qb plays.

No QB that retreats 20 yards into the endzone, only to trip over a ref for a safety, should get the MVP.

Rodgers, Brady, manning, and Bree’s all have had top 10 defenses before. They still statistically dominated the stat sheet
]Lamar in 2019 had the third ranked defense. He had 4300 yards and 43 tds
Your argument is shite. Elite QBs put up elite stats even with a great defense. Lamar simply isn’t great this year

Playing with an elite defense should lead to a qb not having to do as much, correct?
Saw this was responded about, thanks.

WHY ISNT LAMAR A TOP 5 ALL TIME QB?!??!

That was never the argument and you know it. You simply said qbs only have to go against a defense. I said if the defense of said qb is playing well then that qb doesn't have to light it up.
And......wait for it.....if your qb has a bunch of shite skill position players (especially after losing an all pro te), then.......wait for it.....I bet the offensive coordinator would love to be more conservative to protect any type of lead.

The “bad defenses help a qb stat pad” myth was put to bed. Follow any QBs progression over a career. Their stats don’t fluctuate materially at all based on the defense they have

What do Russell Wilson and Lamar Jackson have to do with the presidential election? Jesus Christ, give it a rest.

You should stop using AI to make your statistical arguments for you about sports, stats don’t paint the entire story.
There was a graphic on Monday night about how the Ravens are 4th in history in time with the lead through the first 15 weeks. Lamar doesn’t have to get into shootouts, so his stats won’t reflect that.
Prime example was Monday when they went up 21 points with 20 minutes left. Lamar threw the ball twice for 2 yards the remainder of the game.

And yet they absolutely fluctuate based on skill position players being healthy.
