It's weird to me that you are puzzled by people second guessing a coach of a losing team...happens 100% of the time!

I rely more on the insights and opinions of analysts who have won majors and Ryder Cups vs Internet experts.

Our guys battled hard, but Europe just made those must have shots and putts. I mean, they had some just unbelievable play this weekend.

Hopefully some good can come of this. USA had tons of Good golfers but not many great ones, and their performances ebb and flow throughout the year. We need a system that ensures we are picking guys who are playing well at the time, and a preference for guys who like to party. Then a captain that says, hey, nobody expects you to win, so there's noting to lose, so go out there and play like it. Expect to win and don't be afraid of losing. Go make some highlights then let's get drunk no matter what happens.

I don't think Tom deserves "All the blame", but he deserves a lot of it. How many points did his captain's picks get? Yet he ran out a captain's pick in the very first match of the Cup and got trounced. He played another captain's pick 4 times, and that pick went 1-2-1. Watson seemed to have Fowler matched up against Europe's best in every match. Fowler was forced to play perfect golf, and he isn't ready for that.

I don't blame Phil for openly criticizing. They are all grown men, and the Cup is over. Watson won't be the captain next time. Oil played the good teammate role yesterday. Phil went 2-1 in his matches. He earned the right to complain.

Of course, another Watson (Bubba) was absolutely terrible this weekend.

Capitain has to wear many hats.
I don't think Watson was having fun with any of these golfer this week.
We need:
Paul The Zing Meister
Gregg Norman
Or Tiger

So... The guy with a lifelong axe to grind against. America and the guy who is still trying to deflect blame for. 2008 and all of his opinions are biased by that? Why not the guy who actually led the us to victory?

And there has been criticism of Watson by the analysts. Nobody is saying he's responsible for the loss entirely.

I wonder what Ben Crenshaw thinks of this.

Then you & I interpret things differently.

I'm paraphrasing, but I think Watson said in the presser that given the opportunity, there's probably some things he would do differently. Would it have made a 5 point difference? I don't think so.

If the U.S. isn't down 4 pts entering Sunday those singles matches might have played out differently. I think watson's decisions could have made a 2 pt difference. Put us down only 9-7 gong into Sunday and we've got a chance.

Right.
Ya can't say that with only being down 2 going into the last day, all things would have had the same outcome.
That's why they've trounced us. They're up big Sunday morning, and have all the momentum. Tough to do the impossible erry year.
