Did I take a time machine to the 80s? That Penguins-Caps game was insane. They combined for 39 shots in the 2nd period. THIRTY-NINE. You can have games in which teams don't combine for that many shots, much less periods (not good games, mind you).
I don't think I'd want every game to be like that, but it was fun for a night. Not many nights will Murray and Holtby both be that terrible.

Flyers got a lot of preseason love. I'll be honest, they are a team that scares me. Wayne Simmonds is nearly my platonic ideal of a hockey player. Flyers are old school: grit and skill all over the place. Even their stars can deliver a hit.
