he certainly isnt cutting 5-10 extra pounds below 265 for each weigh-in just for the frick of it.

I was thinking the same thing. We will know for sure if he get's past Cain. If he fights Lesnar I bet you he weighs in at 265 also.

He said he wrestled about the same time as Lesnar did in college. He had to be a senior when Lesnar was a freshman. ASU has put out some great wrestlers for them just to up and scrap the program. I think he went to ASU anyway.

I know Hendo and Dollaway went there.

Carwin went to a Div II or III school didn't he?

Yeah, but in wrestling there isn't the same difference between DI and DIII schools as there is in the big sports. There are some very highly regarded DIII schools. Also, in open tournaments they all wrestle against each other. You know where everyone stacks up.

Also, I rewatched Carwin-Gonzaga last night. Whoever said Gonzaga was pushing him around before the big punch from Carwin ended it is off their chair.

I didn't even take the time to go back and watch because does it even really matter? Couture pushed Brock around in the first round of their fight.

I was thinking the same thing. Actually the Randy pushing Brock around and Mir pushing Brock around stuck out even more to me.

that was me bitch. i'm watching it right now. gonzaga pops him a few times in the face, pushes him against the fence, then takes his arse to the ground without a problem. the entire point, which most of you redneck/whitetrash MMA fans can't grasp, was that if he got "pushed around" like that by gonzaga it will be even worse against brock. frick you MMA elitists suck. me >>> you. sissy cuckold

Alright PJ.

Gonzaga rings his bell with a punch or two. While Carwin is seeing stars he gets pushed to the fence, then taken down. It is doubtful this would happen to a wrestler the caliber of Carwin without his bell being rung. Once he comes too and recovers, he easily stands up. A few seconds later Carwin ends it.

Brock got pushed around by a 220lbs, 45 y/o man.

I haven't looked it up but I believe you are right PBT. I think he did go to a DIV II school

I read Tito's book and he was talking about wrestling against Div 1 opponents at some po-dunk college in Cali.

I think Tito on wrestled in JC. JC wrestling has alot of talent.

Bones Jones only wrestled in JC, and Brock started out there before going to Minn.

It's nice to see that their are some bigger heavyweights coming up in the UFC and MMA to challenge Brock. He looks so unstoppable right now because the guys he is fighting aren't the same size as him.

With that being said I don't know if any of the bigger guys are any good but it will be nice to see a fight where he won't manhandle the guy like he did Mir and Randy to some extend. I don't thing size will be the ultimate factor but it will help for sure. Fedor is going to be a midget compared to Brock but Fedor should own him anyway.

Tom Lawlor on winning the Sub bonus of the night

quote:

It’s hard to say (what’s next). I’ve been pretty poor the past few years, so after getting this bonus, I’ll have to fight again in like eight or nine years. That’ll probably be how long it takes me to run out of money if I keep living at the standard of living I’ve been at. Look for me in about 2018. UFC 200 I’ll be fighting the serpent from Revelations, as the world is coming to an end in about nine years.”

Well Carwin is similar to Kongo in that they both are strikers, but Carwin is a good wrestler unlike Kongo. So I wouldn't expect Cain to dominate him like he did Kongo. That said Cain's wrestling is superior and might be what decides the fight. Carwin has a chance though if he can land a good shot, but he might not get a chance too. Like I said though Carwin has wrestling experience and he was good at it "He wrestled in college, becoming a two-time NCAA Division II Wrestling National Runner-Up Heavyweight in 1996-97, and the NCAA II Wrestling Heavyweight National Champion in 1999" It will be a interesting fight, but I think Cain will control this one
