I think it's far more of a reach to say that he wouldn't be in the NFL if it wasn't for his name. He was a very capable college QB and it's not like Deion has some sort of tie to the Cleveland Browns where they are drafting his son as a favor to him. The Browns sucked and took a flyer on two QBs to throw at the wall and see if one of them sticks, one of them just happens to be Shedeur.

The NFL showed they clearly don't give two shites about the Sanders because every single team passed on the #2 overall rated quarterback for four 4.5 rounds. Not sure why they'd start making exceptions for them now.
