am I the only one who thinks Fedor would've won if they had gone another round. just don't see silva getting a takedown in the 3rd b/c he was too gassed. either way, silva had a good gameplan and executed it....he fought very well tonight. fedor is not the same guy from 2004, really sad to see.

Overeems gas tank has always been his down fall, but with none of his fights seeming to make it out of the first 2 min. it hasn't been an issue. His skill set is very very good.

IMO Barnett still has a huge shot to win it. He has consistently been one of the top 5 fighters in the world over the past 4 years

He cut weight to get to 265. They said he was at 285 tonight. Fedor = about 230.

Only two Fedor fights I've seen live are his last two

Agree about Barnett. I rank him as one of the top 5 HW's of all time according to accomplishments and record. Only concern is him getting older and lack of competition against a good fighter the last couple of years.

You are acting like Fedor has been getting embarrassed like Chuck,Arlovski, or CroCop....
He is still one of the best fighters on the planet. MMA is constantly evolving and Fedor is quite possibly the only fighter to still be hugely relevant since 2002

damn, that really sucks. nothing like watching a fight live, but youtube has most of fedor's older fights, so you can at least look them up. I wonder if we'll ever see another dominant HW fighter under 6 feet tall ever again?

I don't know how he gained or lost 20 pounds within one day, unless he dehydrated himself to brink of death so he can make weight.

Belfort was 18 when he started fighting. Coutoure is irrelevant. As a heavyweight he has no chance against the top 10 and would lose to half the top 15. Rampage, maybe, maybe not. He wins one, loses one and walks around way out of shape.

So I am guessing if Fedor actually does ever fight again, it will be several months at minimum.

Most elite boxers, wrestlers and MMA fighters can cut 15-20 lbs easy for weigh ins.

That was the first time anyone has ever really gotten the better of Fedor in a fight. Werdum subbed him, but that was just a rare mistake that probably wouldn't happen again. Fedor thought he was hurt and jumped into his guard way to quick.

Hunt rocked Fedor for about 2 seconds, but that didn't last.

The only guy that every really held his own and was maybe beating Fedor in a fight (actually controling Fedor) wass Richard Arona way back in Rings before Pride. And Arona was juiced out of his mind at the time of that fight. Arona didn't even try to hide that he was juiced as roids were not against the rules at the time in Rings and legal in Brazil.

Silva is HUGE, he just recently in the past few years dropped to HW. He was fighting at SHW for most of his career. It was actually a pretty big deal when he did drop to HW, because of how good of a fighter he was a SHW.
He DEFINITELY cuts a lot of weight to get to 264-65,much like Brock Lesnar
