By your logic, 98% of fighters from the early 2000s are overrated, because only a handful are still relevant and none still ranked as high as Fedor. Every single major MMA publication has considered Fedor the #1 HW in the world for the past 6 years. Not because he was over hyped or over rated, but because he consistently beat the best fighters in the world. Not just by dec., but by finishing most. To sit here and write off his accomplishments is not only foolish, but quite laughable. Name 1, just 1 fighter who has been so good for so long. MMA is a brutal sport and it is constantly evolving and that's why you dont see fighters dominate for long spans, yet Fedor did. Against men who were always dwarfing him in size. I'm not sure if you know this; but MMA did exist before TUF 1 and the fight gam doesn't end on the tip of Dana Whites dick

Dana White posted :) on his twitter after the fight and then just battled Fedor fans for like 5 hours straight on twitter. Probably tweeted 200 times.

Dana is an asshat. He comes across as a total jackass and like he has an inferiority complex or something.

White is trash, which seems appropriate

I think it's his way of saying I don't have to deal with the M-1 Global assholes anymore. I sincerely believe White did everything within reason to get Fedor over to the UFC.

Fedor's stock has plumited and they can't hold shite over the UFC's head anymore.

this

The guy easily could have cut to middleweight but instead stayed and massacred the biggest and baddest men on the planet(outside of the UFC).

That sucks

I remember watching that fight live. He knocked Douglas down in like the 7th round and I just knew Tyson was going to pull it out.

It is fun watching him get ko'd but he should retire. He's going to have major brain damage if he keeps getting knocked out.

It's quite sad, Arlovski was a great fighter, but he just doesn't have it anymore. It's like his chin is made of paper mâché or there is like an "off" button hidden under his beard

Once the connective tissue for the brain gets compromised for these fighters (concussion syndrome) they end up like this. Doesn't matter how tough they were before, they have glass chins after. It sucks to watch when you are a fan of a specific fighter and then it happens to him a la Chuck Liddell.

and as far as Fedor goes, this cannot be surprising. He hasn't been fighting the top talent for a very long time. I agree that at one point he was the baddest man in MMA (and who knows when that ended?), but the way he did his career plays right into what Dana has been saying about him for a long time now. Fedor has no one to blame but himself and his management, because now everyone can say "he ducked the UFC and fought a bunch of chumps for over 5 years".

Man....I missed all of this for the Spanish Town Ball. Although some 300 lb 60 year old man pathetically swung on me for talking to his wife, I can't believe I missed it. I'm bummed. When's the next one?

I've never heard of this but it best explains it. I got my first concussion at 30 and now I've had 3 more since then. Of course, that explains a lot about me.
