just looking at the pics. fedor's face is a mess. i NEVER would have thought that. i've always liked the guy but he needs to do some serious soul searching and change camps or something. Arlovski is another one of my favs. Sucks to see him lose this way again.

Meh, Fedor's face looks like a mess in half the fights he destroyed the other guy. He has always bruised and cut easy IMO.

I've never seen his eye swell that shut before. Maybe it's just been so long since he's been in a good fight. I hope he comes back.

Barnett/Rodgers upcoming fight intrigues me.

He actually took some big hammer fists before he sunk in the armbar

He took big hammer fist, but no one thought he was going to look all fricked up afterward. When he got interviewed after the fight, I couldn't believe how fricked up he looked. He has had some other ones the same way.

Does anyone remember what my Sig said? I can't remember now. Admin posted a message saying it was inappropriate.

For the life of me I can't believe it would be that bad where they would take it down.

I would imagine HMC's Fist are larger than Silvas, so just a few would do the trick. I remember Fedor trying for the armbar and HMC picking him up with one arm and shaking him like a tambourine

and as far as Fedor goes, this cannot be surprising. He hasn't been fighting the top talent for a very long time. I agree that at one point he was the baddest man in MMA (and who knows when that ended?), but the way he did his career plays right into what Dana has been saying about him for a long time now. Fedor has no one to blame but himself and his management, because now everyone can say "he ducked the UFC and fought a bunch of chumps for over 5 years".

What did Fedor duck in the UFC? If you look at Dana's champions in the UFC none were anything exceptional the 5-6 years, possibly even the last 10 years. You had Brock Lesnar. A guy who serves as a punching bag for others to train. Andrei Arlovski a guy Fedor destroyed fairly quickly. Then you have Randy Couture a guy way past his prime that I doubt could stand a lick to Fedor even in his prime. And then there is Tim Sylvia a guy that is nowhere to be found. Who else is there to claim? Frank Mir? I don't even feel he is worth a mention. Fact is Fedor is the best to ever step into a MMA ring/cage. Dana is just pissed he couldn't get the UFC to higher heights like he initially planned through Fedor. Just because a guy might be reaching the downside of his career does not mean he is overrated or a pretender. There comes a time when everyone reaches their end.

I finally got a chance to watch the fight, but I did know what happened.

Silva has improved tremendously since last time I have seen him, but Fedor definitely didn't look right. Imo, it's a combination of age, lack of ring time and being the lead horse in his gym with no one to push him.

That said, even if he came in at his best he may not have beaten Big Foot on that night.

Anyone else have a feeling that Finkelstein will do all he can to keep trotting out his meal ticket for years and years until Fedor is Shamrocked.

I wish M-1 Global was publicly traded.

Stock would have plummeted quicker than IFL's did.

I agree that Finkelstein will try that. But I have a hard time believing Fedor would do something like that. As humble and respectful as Fedor has been his entire career, I believe he has too much respect for himself and the sport to whore himself for paydays like Shamrock. It just seems to be the direct opposite of Fedor's mentality. But Finkelstein seems scum enough to attempt to convince him to try.

I'd like to see Fedor go all Ivan Drago on Finkelstein and lift him off the ground by his throat and say, "I win for me! For me!"

It's hard to believe a president of a multi-million dollar operation has time to argue via twitter with moron fans
