Does anyone have the historical records between the two schools for FB, BB and baseball?
xiv what are talking about tech not beating ulm this decade - have they even played? I remember the last 4 game series and the first game was a close Tech win but the other 3 were blow outs...
If Tech and Ulm setup another series and Tech beat them every game again would the ulm fans wait another 5-10 years before saying Tech is scared to play them?
The reason we give Tech little respect is because we have beat them every time we played lately and all have been blowouts minus this year - they haven't earned respect from us...

disagree. More than slightly. ULM longs for a home and home with Tech because a game against Tech at ULM would most likely bring out (Tech) fans and they would have a decent crowd for the first time in years. ULM "fans" still wouldn't care.

Won't happen. We'll find a way to average 15K. Remember, it has to be 2 consecutive seasons of averaging less than 15K. Besides, this rule hasn't been enforced yet, not sure if any school has not met the minimum. There would probably be a lawsuit filed if the NCAA tries to enforce it because this was not part of the criteria when the schools moved to I-A. Any school that moved from I-AA to I-A had to spend a lot of money to do it, so there will be a fight to stay there.

No argument here. I've said it many times in this thread, Monroe SUCKS when it comes to supporting ULM. This is what losing does. It will take a long time to get back the support, but it is possible. I believe a good foundation was layed this season, and the last few. If Coach Berry can continue it in the next few seasons, the fans will come back.
Everyone agrees that times are tough at ULM and we are at the bottom of the list as far as financials go in FBS. Some say the facilities are horrible and "falling apart" and there is no support. Yet we still had a 6-6 season and finished 5-3 in the Sunbelt. Tech was coming off a bowl win and an incredible high in 2008, with the new up-and-coming head coach, and they found a way to go 4-8 and 3-5 in the WAC. They also are apparently upgrading all the facilities and everything was looking up.
How is it possible that ULM had a .500 season and Tech didn't even sniff it?

Why would ulm even want to stay in D1A with the current support they get even when they have had a few decent seasons - like you said? It just doesn't look like the support is there.
Tech had a down year at 4-8 and still managed to average 20k - that just makes ulm look worse than Tech not better...
