I knew the Lions were bad, but I haven't seen them all year. This is way worse than I had imagined. Kevin Smith isn't a bad rookie runner though, I like him.

With the first pick of the draft (which they will most likely have), I'd draft a QB. Culpepper hasn't been there more than a few weeks and probably hasn't fully learned the playbook, but the Lions could use a fresh start w/ a new, young QB but keep Culpepper as a backup.

matt stafford did declare? i'm just asking to make sure. i hadn't heard anything..

oh unreal the lions finally get something their way and it's taken away by a penalty.. typical bad luck for a bad team.

Even when the Lions do something right, they can't get a break.

I once saw a punt 5-10 years ago that was kicked into a hellacious wind and went backwards for negative yardage. Don't remember if it was pro or college though. Anybody else remember that?

Yeah and I thought it was a big 10 game. I know I saw a few punts get shanked off into the wind in HS that pretty much came back to the LOS.

My cousin was an all-state kicker and punter in the early 90s in high school. He was punting on 4th and long, hit it straight up and high in the air, it came down and he caught it and ran for the 1st down. After he kicked it, everyone had run downfield, not realizing it had gone straight up and never passed the LOS.
