i know he had a great career, but the SEC in the 1990s wasn't the SEC of today

Tebow > VY
Vince didn't hit stride until the Michigan game, and even in that game he pretty much hurt them strictly with his legs. He was average for the majority of that season as a thrower.
Tebow was a beast as a Sophomore, Junior, and is very efficient as a senior. He holds a ton of records in the toughest conference on average and will more than likely end up with 3 titles.

he's a compiler, and he's had a great career. i've said he is soon to have the best career in NCAA history
career is not player

Had it been the next year, they don't beat USC. He kept USC off balance with his throwing (he had a lot of completitions against them if I'm not mistaken), so his progression from one year to the other shows that VY was really just a good passer for one year.

Tebow is the better player in college. He has always been able to score with his arm and feet, and the leadership qualities he has are unmatched. Tebow is the better passer, VY is the better runner, Tebow is more efficient.

they only let vince be vince for a year and a half, and he left with a year remaining
UT would have won it all in 2006 also

Tebow is the better player in college.
no he's not
his best season was not vince's best season, and tebow played almost full games in every game in 2007 b/c their D sucked

he's not as good of a passer as vince. he just had percy to open things up for him

vince is the best leader i've ever seen on a college football field
as a single person, he completely changed the entire mentality of a PROGRAM. tebow? no

So you never watched Florida? Tebow may be best leader of all sports.

tebow did not transform the psyche of an entire football program
vince did
vince did

Tebow still hasnt lost since his big speech. Like Vince did, he carries his team week in and week out. But Tebow is better on the field leading his troops and making everyone better.

once texas allowed vince to take over the PROGRAM (not the team, the program), he didn't lose
they let vince be vince, and they were rewarded for it

is that why their offense has gone to shite without percy harvin this year? b/c he's leading them so well?
Posted on 11/26/09 at 9:53 pm to SlowFlowPro
Back to the original question. Florida by 2 scores maybe 3.

Well Vince being someone else wasn't a great passer in 2004, so just because the staff made him pretend to be someone else doesn't change that.

Tebow's season was as a true sophomore where he had 32 TDs and 6 INTs with 23 rushing TDs. He had a 172 QB rating, which was higher than Vince's senior season, and 4 less INTs, which looks bad for Vince since he didn't play full games. Tebow's next season was 30 TD and 4 INT with another 172 QB rating. He threw as many INTs in two years as Vince did in his best year.
Also, your second argument can go either way. Yeah Vince sat out because they blew all those shitty teams out, but Tebow played two really elite teams that year and had to win games by himself. He had a lot tougher task as a sophomore, whereas VY had the benefit of the best supporting cast in the country. Tebow's next season where his guys got older, same production with great efficiency and a national title.

Tebow had a higher completion percentage and a higher YPA than VY's best season, which you love, with more TDs, fewer INTs, and a higher QB rating against BETTER competition, but he's a worse passer?

vince is the best leader i've ever seen on a college football field
Tebow wills that team. There's a reason everyone refers to Tebow as the ultimate winner, teammate, player, kid, missionary, etc.
Posted on 11/26/09 at 9:55 pm to SlowFlowPro
Thats a team effort. Any other qb would have a loss this year. They dont. Leadership to its finest.
Posted on 11/26/09 at 9:56 pm to AlexLSU
seems like nobody is impressed with Texas, so the SEC is destined to win 4 straight.

and tebow isn't a good passer this year
plus the focus is on 2005

uh vince vs OSU and USC ?
and vince didn't have a side kick as good as harvin. his sidekick was david thomas, a TE
see how tebow's stats have gone down without harvin? it's not a coincidence
quote:
but he's a worse passer?
have you seen him pass? he has worse mechanics than vince and he passes out of a running offense
tebow almost never throws to non wide-open WRs

b/c he's a media darling when vince had to compete with reggie, matt leinart, and brady quinn

with the best defense in CFB and a shitload of 5-star skill guys?
also UF has played a 1-game schedule this year, and that 1 game was LSU, who blows

I guarantee you tebow has changed that team in one way or another.
