Rasmus just doesn't make a whole lot of sense for me
It would give us 2, 2 hole hitters. Yes, I know that Prado is fine in the leadoff spot, but it would be nice to get a true leadoff hitter with speed for once. That is someone that can truly affect a game.
Rasmus defense is not very good either
I'd take him, but I'd rather look elsewhere for the price it would take to get him.

Agreed, Bourn, as much as I don't care for him, is exactly what this team needs.

Something that we talked about last night makes a lot of sense
give them someone with high upside who is a few years away from the majors, someone like Lipka, since they aren't going to compete for a few years anyways
and then give them someone a little more major league ready. One of our AAA arms that can step in and help their big league team this year or next.

I'm coming in late on the board so don't chastise me but what about getting someone a bit cheaper but still effective like Rajai Davis of Toronto or Ben Revere of Minnesota? They are younger guys who would be under team control for awhile.
I wouldn't mind moving Schafer and Randall Delgado to Minny for Ben Revere or maybe even Denard Span

he would be a free agent after next year

He is making 4.4 this year. Would probably make around 6 mill next year.
