Our current payroll figure for next year is $62.842 mill according to cots. This year we are at 91.

We still have Hanson for another 4 years after this one, I believe
J Hey will have 4 years

Prado has 2
McCann will be a FA in 2 years after this one
this is when they will all hit free agency. Obviously, their contracts will be worth much more during their 3 arbitration years
it would be nice to iron out some long term contracts early with these guys, to save money overall

Just because that's the forecast lineup doesn't mean they can't go get an Evan Longoria type guy and stick them at 3-4-5.

It just blows my mind that we'll be cutting loose of McOut, KK, then Lowe and possibly Hudson, AND most likely Chipper...

Heyward, Freeman, Kimbrel, Beachy, Venters, Hanson, etc. are all making 400k. They won't make 400k their whole careers

I am hoping the reports that team will be sold sometime soon are accurate. Then hopefully someone who is willing to spend money will buy it. If we want to keep our core of young players long term we will have to up our payroll considerably.
