The biggest news was Proctor not giving up 15 runs

Martinez with highest WPA in a game by a reliever in 15 years tonight.

He was fricking dealing. Also Schafer got hit by a pitch on his wrist that was already injured and is likely headed to the DL.

And Fredi finally popped his ejection cherry arguing balls and strikes.

I didn't even realize that Fredi got tossed too until I was talking to some people on the train.

I assumed it was just Nate. Were the calls really as bad as they looked. I wasn't at a great angle to see them since I'm too poor to afford good tickets very often. About one in every 5 or 6 pitches got booed heavily after about the 6th or 7th inning.

I like the Braves chances against that shitty overrated NL West champion postseason or not this year.

hey, y'all did sweep us in SF earlier this season. we'll see how they match up for 4 games in ATL in mid-August.

However, I guess I don't have much basis for this argument in that y'all ended up running the table and winning the WS. But there honestly CANNOT be a part of you that doesn't realize Chipper, Wagner, and Prado being injured do not play a huge role in that series. Play the whole "Injuries are part of the game" perspective if you want, but deep down you probably realize that the giants were very fortunate in that the braves were so banged up in that series.

eh, y'all also had Infante, Lee, Melky and Farnsworth last year. plus Gonzo was a lot better hitter than he is now. that was a great series. very close and hard-fought throughout.

With that being said, I don't think the braves would have gotten past the phillies. I would much rather the Giants go to the WS than the phillies, so I was pulling hard for SF once the bravos were out.
