Have a problem with putting a 22 year old who hasn't played AA ball yet starting in the majors. The biggest gap in the minors is between A ball and AA ball.

Different circumstances. Furcal was thought to be 19 at the time and considered a phenom. Can't really say that about a 22 year old yet to touch AA

It's hard to judge without being able to see guys. Pastornicky's numbers are awful. I don't know if he's having good at bats or not. He's only struck out 3 times, so that's good. But he's only walked once. And he's taken the most ABs of anybody on the team.

I guess they will probably stick with him, but my main argument would be that if neither guy can hit, why not just play the one who plays great defense? That at least gives us something positive.
