I just don't ever see him being the "ace" of this team. He has gone to his curve ball way too much. He has a great fastball, but he has no stamina and loses games in the 6th.

I, for one, think Hanson short-arms the shite out of his delivery and doesn't get near maximum velocity. Dude his size with his leverage should sit in the mid 90s at least and get it up around 97/98 when he needs to. It's like he's throwing a shot-put. Although, people a lot more understanding of the pitcher's mechanics seemed to be determined to let him keep his delivery. I just don't understand it.

Absolutely. But yeah, I think it's one of those things where he just always dominated and I guess people were hesitant to try and change. Big changes in mechanics like that are so hard to fix when he's been doing it his whole life so it is stuck like that.

What I don't like is him going from 93-94 his first year in the bigs to 89-90 this year.

I've heard a lot of retarded things in these threads, but this is by far the most retarded.

Im sorry. It's my opinion that he is probably the 4th best starter on this team when Hudson is healthy, and the only reason why he is 4th is because JJ is on the team.
