It was my first time on a golf course, needless to say it was pretty ugly. I would estimate i lost 25 balls

It will drop dramatically the next time.

I shot an 89 today at LSU. Personal best, but there were some really bad mistakes that cost me a lot of strokes. I melted down on #9 and carded an 8.

I need to hit greens when I'm within 120 yards. Missing them is unacceptable. Putting really saved the day though, I was dropping some bombs.

So today was a first me.

I played a 9 hole round early this morning, so out of sync at the start that I didn't even keep score, which is not something I'm sure I have ever done before. By the end of the round though I think I actually made three pars.

Feeling I was getting a little better I had to keep playing. I went to another course nearby, which I had never played. I promptly hit my first tee shot out of bounds on the first hole, and almost didn't think about scoring again, till I got on the hole and dropped a 20 foot poot for a 7, on a par 4.

I kept score and made my first birdie in a long, long, long time. I finished with a 44, which is really good for me. So I am glad I kept playing. It feels really good to see a 2 on the scorecard.

That's my CGSB (cool golf story bro) for the day.

I can't stand when I miss a green from a perfect lie in the middle of the fairway with less than a 7-iron...incredibly frustrating.

How do you practice this? I go to the range and aim at the yardage markers, but the thick grass out there holds onto the ball...definitely not an accurate representation of what you do on the course.

111 today.

I've been improving lately but my short game was just awful today. Don't even want to think of the two chips and three putts I had today.
