If you think that Battier is more valuable than Posey then you don't know that much about basketball. Battier is a good player and fits in great in Houston. But that's it.

HORNETARD!!!

What part of my original argument do you now understand?

Battier is considered a premier perimeter defender and has made the all NBA defensive team, Posey is/has not.

Battier is the better offensive player based on almost every stat.

Battier is better on offense AND defense.

Its easy to say that as you are sucking on the teet of every Rocket player.

You'd prolly suck off Jeff Van Gundy just for old times sake.

No. And Posey has played in New Orleans for three games. I am basing this opinion from what he did in Miami and Boston, places where he won an NBA title. I think Posey is a better player than Battier. That's it.

Probably because Battier played 12 more minutes per game than Posey last year. That's an entire quarter. If you're going to throw around stats, then maybe you should give us the whole story.

So now Battier is punished because he earned more PT?

I knew you'd come back with this weak shite. Posey played for the NBA champions last year who were deep and loaded at every position. Battier played for a team who once again did not get out of the first round of the playoffs and battled injuries all season long.

Posey hasn't always been on NBA Championship team. Are you only looking at last year?

For the minutes per game stat, yes.

Battier was NBA All-Defensive Second team last year. Posey has never done that before. And it was said before in this thread - Battier has higher career averages across the board.

Posey's championships were on teams with Shaq/Wade and KG/Allen/Pierce. It's not like Battier wouldn't have won on those teams in his place...Battier was stuck in memphis for the first several years of his career.

And if Posey is so valuable, why has he bounced around so often (6 teams)?

Well Posey hasn't always played behind Pierce and Allen. He's had ample opportunity to get minutes over the course of his career.

This is true. I didn't check his minutes per game in Miami or other places. I should have. However, I still think Posey is more valuable.
