Per ESPN:

"White has already said a St. Pierre win at UFC 94 will set the stage for a showdown with middleweight champion Anderson Silva."

I may have to pull for GSP to see this fight.

You know if BJ wins, he'll want a piece of Anderson too.

The over saturation is what I was talking about..once again, you still have/had King of the Cage, the IFL, Pride, UFC, elite xc

You are proving my point. What don't you understand is half of those organzations are no longer in business and haven't been on tv for months.

Elite XC,
IFL,
Pride,
I've said this twice and Maximus also pointed this out.

READ THE WHOLE POST Spike TV is the only major network that shows MMA.

Smaller promotion. Think its been around for awhile. Handful of big name guys have fought in it. Rampage, Urijah, Mac Danzig, are the first to come to mind. It does appear on PPV.

true, but I started the thread so

Maybe I should elaborate a little more on this subject. I'll put this out there again..I am a fan of the sport. I was a wrestler back in high school and I did my BJJ training under Yousef Alirezaei. I like the sport. I think it is awesome that there are people finally getting recognition for their efforts and getting paid. My problem is that w/i the past few years they tried to forcefeed us too much mma...which is what probably led to their demise. And the affliction shirts..it's almost too much. I am glad it is a little more toned down now with it being just on ppv, spike and vs. I just don't like seeing inexperienced fighters who have spent a couple weeks at the learning annex grappling and think they are the next hughes.

At one time, it might have been oversaturated. Last year all at the same time, they had the IFL (Fox Sports), Elite XC (CBS), Iron Ring (BET), UFC (Spike TV), UFC Wired (Channel 10 on Cox), WEC (Versus), UFC All Acess (MTV)

since then though, CBS, BET, Fox Sports, MTV has cancelled these shows.

Once again, for right now, you have Spike TV, and very very small network with Versus showing MMA and that's it!

Where do you see this?

If you are talking about Elite XC, they had a decent stable of fighters other than there cash cow Kimbo Slice. He was a marketing tool and you see where that got Elite XC. But they had some decent fighters.

where is all this shitty MMA being forced onto your tv? Pride's never been on american tv other than some random 30 minutes highlight shows on fox sports net, IFL was on cable access or some shite, you mentioned King of the Cage: when in the hell has KOTC ever even been on anything? I saw like one highlight show of ten year old KOTC fights on FSN once. Man, i can't get any sleep with all this mma everywhere.

It's just hard to take your argument serious about there being too much mma when you name 3 promotions that are dead, one thats a smaller minor league type promotion ... and one league thats not even MMA.

That's like me saying there is too much basketball. The NBA, ABA, CBA, D-League, NCAA, AND1, etc Plus, I just don't like the short, inexperienced white guys who spend a couple of weeks at the local annex shooting free throws and think they are the next pistol pete.
